- In-situ (S)TEM --- Investigation of the fundamental physical and chemical properties using in-situ liquid cell, heating, electrical (S)TEM techniques.
- High-spatial/energy resolution STEM --- Exploration of structural defects, phonon vibrational modes, photonic modes through high-spatial/energy resolution STEM.
- Two-dimensional quantum materials --- Study the growth mechanism, crystal structure, band structure and etc. of two-dimensional quantum materials by using atomic-resolution (S)TEM techniques.
- Nano catalysis and energy materials --- Investigate the structure, composition and chemical bonding of nano catalysis and energy materials using (S)TEM and energy spectrum (EDS and EELS) characterization.
